Now Offering Free 3-K And Pre-K For All

StarrKidz Preschool is now offering UPK and 3K for all. There are limited seats available, please register as soon as possible to reserve your child’s seat. StarrKidz’s 3K & UPK curriculum are based on the New York State Prekindergarten Foundation for the Common Core, which is a "framework that focuses on learning and development for the 3- and 4-year-old children. The primary purpose of prekindergarten standards is to ensure that all children with disabilities, students with Limited English Proficiency (LEP), and English Language Learners (ELLs) have rich and varied early learning experiences that prepare them for success in school and lay the foundation for college career readiness."

PRE-K

In New York City, children begin Pre-K in the calendar year they turn four.If you have a child born in 2018, you can apply to Pre-K now and your child will begin in September 2022

Who Can Apply?

All NYC families with children born in 2018 (including residents who have temporarily moved out of New York City during the COVID-19 pandemic) can apply now to begin Pre-K programs in fall 2021. There is a  Pre-K seat for every eligible four-year-old child. Children do not need to be toilet trained to attend Pre-K.

3-K

n New York City, you can apply for 3-K in the calendar year that your child turns three. If you have a child born in 2019, you can apply now for 3-K programs that begin in fall 2022 .

Who Can Apply?

Apply to 3-K the year your child turns three. Children born in 2018 can apply now to begin 3-K programs in September 2021.
All children who meet this age requirement who are also NYC residents (*including residents who have temporarily moved out of New York City during the COVID-19 pandemic*) are welcome to apply

How To Apply Online:

• Step 1

  Go to www. Myschools.nyc

• Step 2

  Create your account by following the few simple steps.c

• Step 3

  Complete the dashboard for your child with the basic info requested.

• Step 4

  When choosing a school for your child, enter the code for your child’s school, in the box where the school code is requested. You can apply for more than one school at a time.

• Step 5

  Complete the rest of the questions to the best of your ability (remember that income doesn’t affect the registration in any way.

• Step 6

  Confirm the information by checking the 4 boxes at the end of the application.

• Step 7

  Submit!

• Step 8

  You will receive a confirmation that your application was submitted
